University of Dubuque

Steve Brown (C'75) was a six-time All-Iowa Conference performer in Track & Field and two-time All-IIAC honoree in Football. Brown made an immediate impact at the University of Dubuque, winning the Discus at the IIAC Outdoor Championships as a Freshman. As a sophomore he finished third in the discuss and javelin. Brown improved to second in the discus during his junior and senior campaigns along with a runner-up finish in the javelin as a senior. As a sophomore in 1973, he set the school record in the discus with a throw of 150'8.0". 

On the football field, Brown earned Second Team All-Iowa Conference Offensive Line in 1973 and 1974.
