University of Dubuque

Jeffrey Benson (C'80) was a four-time letter winner in Cross Country and Tennis for the University of Dubuque from 1977-80. Benson was the Iowa Conference MVP as a junior and senior, winning the #1 Singles Titles. He finished as the runner-up in #1 Singles as a freshman and sophomore. In #1 Doubles action, he won the title as a freshman and junior to bring his total of championships to four.

A standout in Cross Country as well, Benson's top finish at the IIAC Championships came in 1977 with a seventh place finish. That same year he represented UD at the Division-III Championships. The following season, Benson qualified for the NAIA National Meet.
