University of Dubuque

LeRoy Watts (C'50) was a standout on the hardwood for the University of Dubuque earning First Team All-Iowa Conference in 1948-49 and 1949-50. He was also a member of IIAC Championship teams in 1947 and 1948. He served as Team Captain for the 1949-50 season. Watts was one of a group of five starters who started for both the 1946-47 (10-1) and 1947-48 (11-0) teams that each won the Iowa Conference title. 

Watts was also an IIAC Track & Field champion in the high jump, winning the 1948 title. He was named the D-Club's most outstanding Male Athlete in 1949-50.
