Jan (Thielen) Snead (C'85) was a member of the 1982 Iowa Conference Volleyball Champions, earning Second Team All-Conference honors. She would go on to earn First Team honors in 1983 and 1984. A standout in the classroom as well, Snead was named to the All-Conference Academic Team and CoSIDA All-Region Team with a 3.84 GPA. She is also the school record holder in the javelin and placed third at the IIAC Championships in discus to earn All-IIAC honors.
