Terrell’s most notable athletic accomplishment was placing third in the 2010 NCAA Division III National Championships, because he said it taught him how to be disciplined and overcome adversity. He would go on to become the 2011 NCAA Division III National Champion. While studying for his master’s degree at UD, Terrell served as a graduate assistant for the wrestling program.

After graduation, Terrell stayed in the area and began his career at Aflac. His dedication to Aflac, combined with his leadership qualities, earned him various promotions and he is now a district sales coordinator. In 2018, Terrell competed in the 2018 Marine Corps US Open, taking first place in the Masters A Freestyle 78 kg division. That same year, he received the Award of Merit at the UD Alumni/ae Recognition Brunch and Awards Ceremony.
