University of Dubuque

Jodi Kinney graduated from the University of Dubuque in 2006 with a degree in elementary education. During her college career, she played volleyball from 2002-2005. She earned First Team Academic All-District VII honors and was the lone Iowa Conference selection to the First Team in 2005. Jodi was named the 2006 Women’s Presidential Academic Scholar Athlete of the Year. Jodi received IIAC All-Conference First-Team Awards and team MVP honors.

After graduating from UD, Jodi began teaching at Durand Elementary School in Durand, Illinois, where she has taught for 12 years. She earned her master’s degree in curriculum and instruction [reading in elementary education] in 2012. Jodi has been happily married for 11 years to her high school sweetheart, Tim (C’06). Jodi and Tim reside in Durand with their daughters, Kolbi and Brinley.
