University of Dubuque

J. Bruce Meriwether (C'60) played a number of different roles at the University of Dubuque. Beginning in 1956 when he arrived on campus, Meriwether participated in basketball, football, drama, and student government. He was a four-year member of the Men's Basketball team, earning the honor of Team Captain three years. He also played football as a junior and senior. 

Meriwether remained involved with UD since 1970, serving as a member of the board of directors/board of trustees. In 1985, he was awarded the Alumnus of Distinction.
