Michael Zweifel graduated from the University of Dubuque in 2011 with a degree in health, wellness, and recreation. During his time at UD, Michael played football from 2009 to 2011. His most notable athletic accomplishments include winning the Gagliardi Award (Division III Heisman Award), being the 2011 Iowa Conference Player of the Year, and NCAA All-Time leading in receptions. Michael and his Spartan teammates were the 2011 Iowa Conference Champions. In 2011, he set a single season Division III record with 140 catches. His 140 catches and 25 touchdowns in 2011 led all NCAA Divisions (I, II, and III). He holds four single season school records and two career records.

Since graduating from UD, Michael went on to obtain his Master’s in Kinesiology at the University of Texas at Tyler, and he received certifications for International Youth Coaching Association Specialist (IYCA) and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). Michael is the founder, owner, and head of sports performance at Building Better Athletes, which he opened in 2014. He married his wife, Jennifer (C’14) in August 2016.  Michael and Jennifer reside in Dubuque.
