Men's Golf Ready to Defend Conference Title at A-R-C Championships

DUBUQUE, Iowa - The American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) Men's Golf Championships will get underway on Sunday, April 26 at the Glen Oaks Country Club in Des Moines, Iowa. The University of Dubuque Spartans men's golf team will be looking to win their third men's golf conference championship in program history and go back-to-back for the first time ever after winning the 2025 title a season ago at Glen Oaks.

Set to begin Sunday, April 26 at Glen Oaks Country Club in West Des Moines, Iowa, the Spartans return to the same course where they captured the 2025 conference title. Now, the Spartans are aiming towards their first-ever back-to-back conference titles in men's golf and third in program history (2014 & 2025)

The Spartans have put together a strong season, winning seven tournaments during the 2025–26 campaign. That success this season has been fueled by competing against nationally ranked teams and being battled tested heading into their biggest tournament of the year this upcoming weekend.

The two Spartans leading the charge are John Dobbe and Luke Harwick, both returning All-Conference standouts. Dobbe, last season's conference runner-up, had a dominant fall campaign highlighted by victories at the Edgewood College Fall Invite and the Grand Intercollegiate. His performance at Edgewood set program records for both a single round (-7) and a two-round total (-10). Harwick, a fifth-place All-Conference finisher a year ago, also earned a medalist honor at the Great Lakes Intercollegiate with a six-under-par finish—his best performance of the year.

The Spartans will tee off at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday and will be paired with Nebraska Wesleyan University and Central College in the opening round as they begin their pursuit of another conference title.
