Jim Martin Golf Studio

Jim Martin Golf Studio

The Jim Martin Golf Studio, given by his spouse, Deb Martin, is a state-of-the-art facility for the growth and development of our men’s and women’s golf programs. Golf was a passion of Jim’s and one of his proudest accomplishments was his completion of 18 holes in all 50 states.  Martin made an impact at UD both as a student and as an active alumnus. A proud graduate of the Class of 1967, Martin was a member of the Phi-O fraternity and an athlete, playing football, basketball, and baseball during his time as a student. He served as a member of the UD Board of Trustees and could be found in the stands cheering on the Spartans at most UD football and basketball games, along with his beloved spouse, Deb.

The center is located on the first floor of the Stoltz Sports Center and offers the teams a cutting-edge indoor training center where they can practice regardless of weather conditions.

The facility features an 800-square-foot putting surface with chipping areas and the latest in golf training technology, including a launch monitor system and simulator. Players are able to play top-ranked courses via a video simulator as well as to analyze their distances, accuracy and ball speed. The putting surface offers every type of putt with various breaks and speeds.
