Dobbe Climbs to Seventh as Men’s Golf Holds 12th Through 54 Holes at NCAA Championships

HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. - The University of Dubuque men's golf team shot a 295 (+7) on day three of the NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championships at the El Campeon course, sitting in 12th place. John Dobbe moved up one spot on the individual leaderboard to sit tied for seventh place at four under par through 54 holes.

After making the cut for the first time in program history, the University of Dubuque men's golf team went out on day three and shot their second-best round of the three days with a 295 (+7). The Spartans ended round three with 10 birdies and an eagle.

John Dobbe (Eldridge, Iowa / North Scott HS) continues his run at the top of the leaderboard, moving up one spot to a tie for seventh place (-4) after carding a 71 (-1) in round three. He sits just three strokes behind the leader. Through 54 holes, Dobbe has played himself into contention for All-American status tomorrow, as the top 10 finishers at the NCAA Championships earn All-American honors.

Luke Harwick (Guttenberg, Iowa / Beckman Catholic HS) carded a 73 today to bring his three-day total to 217 (+1) and sits tied for 24th. Harwick finished today with two birdies and was able to eagle the par 5 No. 1.

Tyson Malak (Elgin, Ill. / Burlington Central HS) shot a 75 (+3) today and had the third-best score for the Spartans, moving to 233 (+18) through three rounds and up to 90th. Pauly Bloomquist (Palatine, Ill. / Palatine HS) posted the fourth-best score of the round with a 76 (+4) and sits T-81st with a three-day total of 229 (+14).

Bob Ryan (Tipton, Iowa / Tipton HS) shot a 78 (+6) today and is now tied for 72nd with a three-day total of 226 (+11).

The Spartans will conclude the 2026 NCAA Championships with the final 18 holes tomorrow and will look to make one last push up the leaderboard.
