HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. - NCAA Division III PING All-Region honorees have been announced by the NCAA in coordination with the GCAA. The University of Dubuque men's golf team had two All-Region VI honorees as sophomore Luke Harwick and junior John Dobbe both received recognition.
Harwick (Guttenberg, Iowa / Beckman Catholic HS) is earning his second consecutive PING/GCAA All-Region VI honor of his career after an incredible season that featured an individual conference title at the A-R-C Men's Golf Championships, while also tying the 18-hole and breaking the 54-hole championship records. Harwick also won the Great Lakes Intercollegiate tournament this spring and was named conference golfer of the week for three consecutive weeks (4/13/26, 4/20/26, 5/4/26).
Dobbe (Eldridge, Iowa / North Scott HS) is picking up his first career PING/GCAA All-Region VI honor. Dobbe's junior season featured three tournament titles in the fall, where he broke the single-day (-7) and two-day (-10) program records at the Edgewood University Fall Invite. Dobbe finished sixth at the A-R-C Championships, earning all-conference honors in back-to-back seasons.
Players across seven regions and 58 schools earned all-region honors in 2026. Harwick and Dobbe were two of only three men's golfers from the American Rivers Conference to be named PING/GCAA All-Region VI.
Both Harwick and Dobbe, along with the rest of the men's golf team, are preparing to open the 2026 NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championships tomorrow, May 12, at the Mission Resort & Club in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida.
About PING
PING designs, manufactures and markets a complete line of golf equipment including metal woods, irons, wedges, putters and golf bags. The family-owned company was founded in 1959 in the garage of the late Karsten Solheim, a mechanical engineer with an extensive background in the aerospace and computer industries. His frustration with his putting inspired him to design his own putter, which created a "pinging" sound when striking a golf ball. This sound was the source of the name now synonymous with innovation, quality and service throughout the world of golf. Solheim and his company are credited with numerous innovations that became industry standards, including perimeter weighting, custom fitting and the use of investment casting in the manufacturing of golf clubs. His insistence on adhering to strict engineering principles and tight manufacturing tolerances raised the level of product performance and quality throughout the golf industry. Solheim is the only person to be inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame as a golf club manufacturer. Today, the Phoenix-based company is under the direction of Solheim's grandson, John K. Solheim, who leads a team of more than 800 dedicated employees committed to helping improve the games of golfers around the world.
