DUBUQUE, Iowa - The University of Dubuque women's wrestling team hosted the Loras College Duhawks on Senior Night in Stoltz Sports Center on Wednesday evening. The Spartans swept the Duhawks 42-0 in the dual meet and improved to 3-1 this season.
It was an easy night for the Spartans lone senior
Shea Reisel who won by forfeit at 117 lbs. UD opened with a 6-0 win from
Grace Murphy at 103 lbs.
Sara Schroder won by a fall in 2:02 at 110 lbs. UD won by forfeits at 117 lbs. and 124 lbs. (
Bree Swenson) and both squads forfeited at 131 lbs.
Mattie Papenthien won by a fall in :50 at 138 lbs.
Tatum Levendahl won by a forfeit and
Brianna Seixas won by a tech fall in 1:35 at 160 lbs.
Merin Yates won by a forfeit at 180 lbs.
Alex Hofrichter wrestled at 207 lbs. and won by a fall in :33 to blank the visiting Duhawks.
UD will travel this weekend to compete in the Cornell College Open beginning at 9:00 a.m. in the Small Athletic and Wellness Center in Mount Vernon, Iowa.

The American Rivers Conference will host its inaugural Women's Wrestling Championship on January 24, 2026 when all A-R-C institutions sponsoring women's wrestling come together. Out of the nine conference member institutions, seven currently sponsor women's wrestling. A-R-C institutions with women's wrestling include: Buena Vista University, Central College, University of Dubuque, Loras College, Luther College, Simpson College, and Wartburg College.Â
The tournament will begin at 10:00 a.m. from P.H. Kuyper Gymnasium on the campus of Central College when wrestlers take their positions on the mats. Live streaming will be available, for free, on the American Rivers Conference Sports Network. Following the completion of the tournament, the conference will present a team trophy for the championship team and medals for the top three place-winners in each weight class. The Most Valuable Performer, Rookie of the Year, and Coach of the Year will be voted on following the completion of the national tournament and will be released on April 1, 2026 at Noon on www.rollrivers.com.Â
