PENFIELD, N.Y. - The University of Dubuque men's golf team completed two wet rounds of golf this week at the 2025 NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championships with scores of 309 and 314 as a team. Wednesday, a constant rain held the 43 teams in check with just one team shooting below 300. The 225 individuals are being led by tournament's best score of -6 for the first two rounds. After two days of intense golf, just three individuals are currently under par. The cut after Wednesday's round would by +35 as a team, UD finished +21 on day one and +26 on day two. The top 18 schools and the top six individuals not on one of the 18 schools advancing will advance into Thursday and Friday's championship rounds.
"I'm proud of my guys over the two days on how they battle through conditions and this tough set-up," commented head coach
Dustin Bierman. "The first round really put us in a hole with a lot of strokes to make up today and add in playing in a constant rain made it even harder. This group has been great all year and I never have to worry about them not being ready to go and their attitude are always spot on even when things don't go our way. I want to give a shout out to senior
Carter Ruegsegger who has helped change the culture of our program and has been the best player in our conference and region. He is going to be missed and want to thank him for all his hard work and leadership. This is a young team and I'm looking forward to seeing if we can keep getting better this off-season. "
