Men's Golf Finishes Round One T-25th at NCAA Championships

VICTOR, NY - The University of Dubuque men's golf team teed it up early Tuesday morning for round one of the NCAA Division III National Championships, held at Cobblestone Creek Country Club in Victor, New York. The Spartans currently sit tied for 25th (+21) out of 43 teams after round one.

The Spartans were led by Joe LaBarbera, who caught fire down the stretch with a strong finish, going 3-under par in his final four holes to post a 2-over 74. John Dobbe followed closely behind with a steady 4-over 76, helping to keep the Spartans in position heading into day two.

Round two of the championships begin tomorrow at 8:00 p.m. eastern time as the Spartans sit eight strokes back of the cut line and will look to climb the leaderboard and put themselves in a position to make the cut for the first time in school history.
