CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) announced the 2025 A-R-C Softball All-Conference team on Tuesday afternoon. Two University of Dubuque softball student-athletes were named to the second team as both Katie Hayes and Kaitlyn Powell are earning their first career postseason softball honors. 

Hayes (Monroe, Wis. / Monroe) played all 16 conference games this season and finished with a .348 batting average. She added six extra-base hits, 20 RBI's (second in A-R-C), slugging percentage of .609, and an OPS of 1.065. Both her slugging percentage and OPS were top ten in the A-R-C this season. Hayes finishes her two-year career with her best season as a Spartan. 

Powell (Blue Grass, Iowa / Davenport West) played all but the final two conference games of the season and led the Spartans with a .490 batting average, which was the fourth highest in the A-R-C. Powell was also top five in the league in slugging percentage (.735), on base percentage (.561), OPS (1.296), runs scored (17), hits (24), and triples (3). As the Spartans lead off hitter, Powell had her best year of her career overall in her third season in the program. 

Both Hayes and Powell are earning their first career conference postseason awards.
