CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) announced the 2025 volleyball postseason awards on Tuesday afternoon. The University of Dubuque women's volleyball team saw six players selected to all-conference awards.
Delainey Winkel was named A-R-C Most Valuable Player and
Taylor Bechen was named A-R-C Defensive Player of the Year.
Karrah Davis and her staff consisting of
David Beach,
Kevin Kessel, and
Emma Powell were awarded A-R-C Coaching Staff of the Year honors.
Ashley Glennon and
Caitlin Jensen garnered A-R-C All-Conference recognition, while
Megan Cooley and
Alexis Kammerer received A-R-C Honorable Mention recognition.
Winkel was astounding during her junior campaign, finishing third in the conference in kills (106) and hitting .208. She averaged 3.66 kills per set, second highest in the conference. Winkel added seven service aces during the conference season and finished eleventh in the conference with 93 digs. Winkel finished fourth in the conference in points (115) and second in points per set (3.97). In addition, she was named the A-R-C Female Athlete of the Week once, received volleyball offensive athlete of the week honors twice, and was named to three all-tournament teams.
After receiving All-Conference honors last season, Bechen was named A-R-C Defensive Player of the Year while being named volleyball defensive athlete of the week five times during the season. Bechen notched 182 digs and averaged 6.28 digs per set, both far and away the best in the conference. Bechen was named to three all-tournament teams during the season as well.
Glennon received her first all-conference honors during the 2025 season. She received both offensive and defensive athlete of the week awards during the campaign. Glennon finished the conference slate with 69 kills and eight service aces. She also finished tenth in digs (98) and eleventh in digs per set (3.50).
Jensen was also selected to the all-conference team for the first time in her career. Jensen finished with a hitting percentage of .300, good for third in the conference. She totaled 25 blocks and 0.86 blocks per set, both finishing third in the conference.
Cooley and Kammerer both received honorable mention honors this season. Cooley finished the season with 58 kills and a .286 hitting percentage. She averaged two kills per set and averaged 2.31 points per set. Kammerer finished with 180 assists and 6.21 assists per set, both good for fourth in the league.
The No. 2 seed Spartans will compete in the NCAA Tournament's Oshkosh Regional November 20-22. Their first-round opponent is No. 7 seed Cornell College, who they will face this Thursday at 2:00 p.m.
