Dede Davis Leads Spartans at A-R-C Cross Country Championships

PELLA, Iowa - The postseason began today for the University of Dubuque women's cross country team with a seventh place team finish at the American Rivers Conference Cross Country Championships. The Spartans team finish was the best since 2017. Dede Davis led the way for the Spartans finishing 63rd overall. 

In a time of 25:18.3, Davis crossed the finish line to complete her first ever conference championship meet. Alexia Pecora finished right behind Davis in 64th running 25:22.7 for a new personal best. Ellec Armstead would be the third Spartan to finish the 6k race with a 69th place finish. Armstead ran 25:39.7 which is the fastest 6k race of her career. Kiana Vogel (26:20.8) and Katelyn Pfaltzgraff (26:21.2) were side by side to round out the top five finishers for the Spartans. Both Vogel and Pfaltzgraff saw personal best times.

The Spartans will have a week off before they travel to Waverly, Iowa as fellow conference member Wartbrug College will be hosting the NCAA Division III Midwest Regional on Saturday, November 11.
