ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - The University of Dubuque women's cross country team saw three personal bests on Saturday out of the top five runners for the Spartans at the Augustana Interregional Invitational at the Saukie Golf Course. The course is typically fast as the course presents a flatter surface and the Spartans were able to capitalize for personal best times. The Spartans finished 42nd as a team among very strong and ranked competition.
Dede Davis was the first Spartan to cross the finish line in 26:20.3.
Dakota Newcomb ran her first 6k race of her career and ran a 26:50.4 to be the second Spartan across the finish line.
Kiley Chapman was quickly in right after Newcomb as she ran a personal best of 26:53.5 and
Katelyn Pfaltzgraff would be the fourth Spartan to finish on Saturday.
Emma Lundquist ran her fastest 6k race of her career in 28:14.4.

The Spartans regular season comes to an end and will have two weeks to prepare for the American Rivers Conference Cross Country Championships on Saturday, October 28 in Pella, Iowa as the Central College Dutch will be hosting the meet.
