BATAVIA, Ill. - The NCAA DIII Midwest Region Championships, hosted by Aurora University took place on a chilly Saturday, November 12. A total of 29 teams competed at the Northwestern Medicine Cross Country Course. The University of Dubuque women's cross country team placed 21st collecting 684 points on the 6k course. A total of 204 runners completed the race.
Junior,
Riley Roman led the way for the Spartans as she clocked a time of 26:35.3 in the 6k race, placing her 133rd. Right behind her,
Taylor Barber finished 134th with a time of 26:51.4. Two spots later,
Katelyn Pfaltzgraff crossed the finish line with a time of 26:53.9 which resulted in 136th place.
Katrina Truitt also competed as she finished 140th with a time of 27:15.1. Jayden Warner recorded her career high time clocking in at 28:33.0 resulting in 159th place.
Emma Lundquist (161st) and
Chetna Bhusari (163rd) rounded out the race for the Spartans with times of 28:37.3 and 28:46.6.
