ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - The University of Dubuque women's cross country team competed in the Augustana Interregional Invitational on Saturday morning at the Saukie Golf Course. The invitational consisted of 25 teams ran against nationally competitive fields, with 11 nationally ranked teams and several more regional ranked teams from throughout the country. The Spartans would finish as a team in 23rd place with 790 team points as four Spartans earn career bests.
"Women were a little banged up going into the meet and several were held out dealing with some injuries and ROTC commitments.
Riley Roman lead the way for the team with a lifetime PR of 25:25, while
Katelyn Pfaltzgraff,
Katrina Truitt, and Lizzy Schwartz had some huge lifetime bests by 43 seconds, 52 seconds, and 44 seconds respectively and was proud how they pushed throughout their races" stated coach
