DUBUQUE, Iowa - The University of Dubuque women's cross country team opened their 2027 campaign on Friday at the Loras College Bob Schultz Invite at the Dubuque Soccer Complex. Senior Dede Davis finished second on her way to the second fastest 5k time in UD women's cross country history. 

A new personal best time of 19:16, Davis ran the second fastest women's 5k of all-time at the University of Dubuque on Friday. The duo of Keely Williams and Jaide Flowers cracked the all-time top-10 list in the women's 5k as Williams crossed the line in 20:17.1, which ranks seventh all-time and Flowers went 20:27.5 for 10th all-time. Senior Alexia Pecora finished 41st in a time of 23:13.0. 

Kylie Olmstead (21:32.8), Clarisa Ostrowski (22:59.7), Maia Acton (23:08.7), Delainey Woodman (24:53.4), Lacey Bender (27:58.6), and Sadie Schmidt (32:41.1) all ran their first races in a Spartan uniform.
