WAVERLY, Iowa - The University of Dubuque women's cross country team earned their highest team finish in program history on Saturday afternoon at the NCAA Midwest Regional. The Spartans finished 16th as a team with 408 team points in the 6k race.
Dede Davis led the way for the Spartans with a 23rd place finish in a time of 22:43.1 Davis finished 1:28 seconds faster than her race at last year's Midwest Regional and improved 51 positions (74th a season ago). Davis earned her first career all-region honors this afternoon as well.
Kiana Vogel finished 41st with a time of 23:29.5, while
Jaide Flowers (90th) recorded a top 100 finish for the Spartans in a time of 24:23.2. Both Vogel and Flowers improved their Top 25 performances to move up the school rankings in the 6k race.
Alexia Pecora ran 25:19.1 to finish 127th and
Mackenzie Rader rounded out the field with a 25:39.3 time stamp and a 137th place finish.Â
The official list of qualifiers for the 2025 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships will be released tomorrow afternoon.Â
