PALM DESERT, Calif. - The University of Dubuque battled high temperatures in the third round of the 2026 NCAA Division III National Championship and dropped from 12th to 14th overall with one round to go. UD shot rounds of 311-295-319 (925) and are in 14th place with one round left of the tournament.
"We struggled a bit today," commented head coach
Dustin Bierman. "We looked tired at times, but they battled in the heat all day. We need to hit more greens tomorrow and get off to a better start. We will get some rest tonight and put together a great round on Friday to finish this wonderful 2025-26 season."
Leah Balsbaugh is tied for 34th overall after finishing with rounds of 73-73-79 (225).
Drew Hoffer is tied for 53rd overall,
Kaycee Newman is tied for 60th,
Gracie Russell sits in 73rd place, and
Payton Morton is tied for 77th.
UD will start at 9:20 a.m. (CT) / 7:20 a.m. (PT) and will begin on the 10th hole to start their final round of the 2025-26 season.
