PALM DESERT, Calif. – The Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) has announced the 2025-26 student-athlete and coaches awards for Division III Women's Collegiate Golf. For the first time in her career, senior Leah Balsbaugh was named All-Region 3/Central by the organization on Monday night at the NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championship Banquet. 

Back in the fall, Balsbaugh (Sussex, Wis. / Hamilton HS) went on to win her second American Rivers Conference Women's Golf title with rounds of 75, 77, and 79 to finish with 231 (+15). With the conference title in 2025, Balsbaugh became the first in program history to win two conference titles in a career for UD women's golf (2023 & 2025). Not only winning the individual title, Balsbaugh helped lead the Spartans to their third consecutive conference team title with a dominating three-day tournament to win by 33 strokes over the field. She was also named female athlete and conference golfer of the week back on October 20 after her conference title. 

Balsbaugh and the Spartans are teeing off today at the 2026 NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championships in Palm Desert, California.
