WAUKESHA, Wis. - The University of Dubuque men's golf team shot a low round of seven-under-par in the first round of the Morningstar Masters tournament hosted by Wisconsin Lutheran. John Dobbe and Luke Harwick sit atop the leaderboard after both shooting four-under-par rounds on Sunday.

The No. 30 Spartans currently sit two strokes ahead of Lake Forest College (-5) and three strokes ahead of No. 11 Aurora University (-4) through 18 holes. The Spartans tied Aurora with the most birdies on the day with 21, but were able to limit the number of bogeys to 14, the lowest of any team in the tournament.

Both Dobbe and Harwick had six birdies on the day with two bogeys to have a co-lead at the Morningstar Masters of four-under-par through 18 holes. Both tied for the most birdies shot on the day in the tournament field. 

Pauly Bloomquist shot an even par round to sit in 12th, while Bob Ryan was one-over-par and in 18th place. Tyson Malak sits four-over-par and in 31st.
