CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) announced the American Rivers Conference Athletes of the Week for the week ending March 29, 2026. The A-R-C weekly awards are nominated and voted on by the league's sports information departments. UD's Ashlyn Short was named the A-R-C Softball Pitcher of the Week for her efforts going 2-0 for the week in a pair of seven inning victories for the Spartans.

Short (Fr., RHP, Monument, Colo./Palmer Ridge) allowed five hits versus Grinnell College, allowing one earned run with four strikeouts on 29 faced batters. In the second win of the week Versus Cornell College where she allowed four hits, one earned run, and one strikeout on 31 batters faced. She improved to 6-0 on the season, has 20 strike outs, walked 15 batters, and earned run average of 2.33.
