Men's Basketball Collects Four A-R-C Postseason Honors

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) on Tuesday afternoon released the 2026 men's basketball all-conference teams. The University of Dubuque men's basketball team collected four all-conference selections from the conference. 

Grady Thompson (Princeton, Ill. / Princeton) and Jacob Williams (Dubuque, Iowa / Dubuque Senior) were named to the A-R-C All-Conference First Team for the Spartans. 

In 15 conference games played, Thompson scored the most points (269) in the A-R-C this season and was second in points per game (17.9). The junior guard scored in double figures in all but two conference games he played in this year, scoring a high of 33 points at home against Buena Vista. He also had the fourth best free throw percentage (84.9%) this season. Thompson is now a two-time all-conference performer and is earning his first all-conference first team honor of his career.

Williams was tenth in the league in scoring this year, averaging 14.9ppg with a season-high 25 points in conference play back on December 3 vs Loras. The sophomore forward was sixth in total rebounds (112) and rebounds per game (7.0) in 16 league games. He also finished tied for the second most blocks (25) among conference competitors. Williams has now earned back-to-back first team all-conference honors to open up his career. 

Jalen Scott (Surprise, Ariz. / Paradise Honors) played 14 conference games this season and finished tied for the most assists per game this season, averaging 5.8 assists a game. He was second in total assists with 81 and had an assist/turnover ratio of 2.0, good for third best in the conference. The fifth-year senior had a season-high 16 points at Simpson in conference play and had two games with double digit assists. In two years with the Spartans he has been named second team all-conference each year.

Ethan Henderson (Zion, Ill. / Carmel Catholic) earned A-R-C honorable mention honors in his first collegiate season with the Spartans. The first-year forward had six double digit scoring outings in conference play with a season-high 15 points vs. Loras back in early December.
