DUBUQUE, Iowa - The 2026 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships are set to take place this weekend on Friday, March 13 and Saturday, March 14 at the Birmingham Crossplex in Birmingham, Alabama. The University of Dubuque track & field team will be sending six individuals down to compete in this year's indoor championships.
Jaden Gatts (Solon, Iowa / Midland HS) is heading back to the NCAA Indoor Championships in the women's high jump for the third consecutive year. In her previous two indoor championships, Gatts earned second team All-American honors in 2025 with her 16th place finish as well as a 20th place finish in 2024 her first-year. This year Gatts has already been crowned A-R-C champion in the high jump and comes into the NCAA's with the fourth highest mark in the event at 1.74 meters.
Cailey Peterson (Greenleaf, Wis. / Wrightstown HS) in her first collegiate season is heading to the NCAA Indoor Championships in the women's pole vault. Peterson enters the championships with the ninth best mark in the event at 3.95 meters. The freshman has already won the conference title in the pole vault a few weeks ago at the A-R-C Indoor Championships.
Jaide Flowers (Colona, Ill. / Geneseo HS) will be the lone Spartan competing on the track this weekend as she will be competing in the 400 meters. Flowers has a conference championship in the event already at the A-R-C Indoor Championships and will be making her first NCAA Indoor Championships appearance of her collegiate career this weekend. She enters with the 14th fastest time in the event, running 55.92 seconds.
Chloe Reiser (Decorah, Iowa / Decorah HS) will be making her second career appearance at the NCAA Indoor Championships in the women's shot put, entering with the 11th best mark of 13.95 meters. Last season, Reiser finished 19th in the indoor shot put and will be looking to add All-American honors to her career in the event this weekend.
Lucas Cummings (Austin, Texas / Vandegrift HS) will be making his first career appearance at the NCAA Indoor Championships this season in the men's weight throw. Cummings will be looking to make his mark in the event, coming in with the 10th best toss of 19.03 meters. Cummings has already added an A-R-C conference champion accolade in the weight throw this season from a few weeks ago.
Dakota Hoffman (Worthington, Iowa / Western Dubuque HS) will enter the NCAA Indoor Championships with the 16th best toss in the men's shot put of 17.00 meters this weekend. He has now been a two-time indoor qualifier in the event in his career after a 16th place finish a season ago that earned him Second Team All-American honors.
