WAVERLY, Iowa / La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Dubuque men's and women's track & field teams finishes final qualifier weekend with some individuals competing at the Wartburg Final Qualifier, while others competed at the UW-La Crosse Final Qualifier. NCAA qualifiers will be announced tomorrow, Sunday, March 8 at 6:00 p.m. (CT).
At UW-La Crosse,
Cailey Peterson tied for second in the pole vault with a vault of 3.88 meters. Peterson will go to the NCAA Indoor Championships next weekend with the ninth-best pole vault mark of 3.95 meters.
Dede Davis ran a personal best in the mile with a sub-five minute time of 4:59.49. In the 200 meters, both
Jaide Flowers (25.58) and
Jaberrius Peake (21.99) ran season-bests in the event.
The men's 4x400 meter relay team ran a season-best time of 3:19.36 to close out the Wartburg qualifier.
