WHITEWATER, Wis. - The University of Dubuque men's track and field team ran at the UW-Whitewater Leonard "Squig" Converse Invitational on Friday night.
Dakota Hoffman was the biggest highlight of the day with a 16.35 meter toss in the shot put that now marks the 20th furthest throw in the country this season. The Spartans had two top three finishers in the weight throw as
Landon Mickley threw a personal best 17.86 meters to finish runner-up in the event, while
Lucas Cummings threw 16.76 meters to finish third.
Lowen Krueger ran a season best time of 8.59 in the 60 meter hurdles final to finish third.
Jaberrius Peake tabbed a second place finish in the 200 meters in a time of 22.29 and also finished 6th in the 60 meter final.
Matt Haerle also ran the 200 meters and finished with a season best time of 22.91.
Richard Kelso achieved a new personal best time in the mile race of 4:40.03.
