PELLA, Iowa - The University of Dubuque men's track and field team finished in fifth place after earning 113 team points. On the final day of the A-R-C Outdoor Track and Field Championships, two Spartans finished atop the podium and four earned all-conference.
Jaberrius Peake was dominant on the track with a championship performance in the 400-meter, running a 47.37 for a personal best and outpacing the rest. In addition, Peake was the runner-up in the 200-meter and helped the Spartans 4x400 relay team to a fourth-place finish.
Akim Baba Traore was another Spartan to stand atop the podium on Saturday. In the triple Jump Traore lept 14.05 meters to win a narrow battle.
Evan Robertson and Lucas Cummings also earned places on the podium with all-conference performances. Roberston ran 1:53.78 in the 800 meters to six team points. Cummings was the runner-up in the hammer throw with a mark of 55.96 meters, earning another all-conference honor to his award list.

The Spartans will travel down to Rock Island, Ill., on Wednesday, May 13-14 to compete in the Augustana Final Qualifier. The meet will be at Knowlton Outdoor Athletics Complex, and will give the Spartans a chance to prepare before the NCAA Championships on May 21-23.
