LAKE GENEVA, Wis. - The University of Dubuque men's golf team fired the low round on Sunday at the UW-Stout The Grand Intercollegiate golf meet with a team leading 290 of the 20 teams. Playing on the Grand Geneva Resort (Highlands Course), the Spartans were led by John Dobbe who finished the afternoon with a round of 68 (-3 under par 71), who sits in second place overall of the 118 competitors.

The Highlands Course is a Par 71 (6,659 yds) which played on average on Sunday 77.97 throughout round one. UD will begin at 9:00 a.m. and will play with the groupings from UW-Eau Claire, Lake Forest College, and Aurora University beginning on hole #1. Hole #16 allowed just one eagle, hole #17 offered up four eagles, and hole #18 was held to a pair of eagles during the first round.
