DUBUQUE, Iowa - The University of Dubuque women's track and field team opened their outdoor season by winning the Mississippi River Rumble Saturday with 205 team points. The Spartans came away with seven event winners on Saturday as
Jaide Flowers (200 Meter Dash),
Jaden Gatts (High Jump),
Faith Hayes (Triple Jump),
Breen Duffy (Hammer Throw),
Chloe Reiser (Shot Put),
Nai'lah Anders (Discus),
Ashley Glennon (Javelin) all won their respective events.
The Spartans had one champion on the track as
Jaide Flowers opened her sophomore outdoor season winning the 200 meter dash with a time of 25.83. The field events saw dominance by the Spartans. First, Sophomore
Jaden Gatts won the high jump with a leap of 1.60m. Freshman
Faith Hayes won the triple jump with a personal best mark of 10.97m.
Breen Duffy won her first hammer throw competition of the season with a mark of 50.23m. Sophomore
Chloe Reiser won the shot put event with a throw of 13.04m.
Nai'lah Anders won the Discus competition with a mark of 43.09m.
Ashley Glennon won the Javelin throw competition with a mark of 38.72m.
