DES MOINES, Iowa - The University of Dubuque track and field teams competed at the Blue Oval inside of Drake Stadium for the 115th annual running of the Drake Relays. The Spartans came away with five top ten finishes with two on the track and three on the field. 

The best finish of the night came from the 4x200 meter relay team. Otis Patterson Kali Freeman, Blake Hardison, and Jaberrius Peake finished in second place in the University/College 4x200 Meter Relay event. The quartet ran a 1:26.27 to move into second all-time in University of Dubuque history as they finish behind a Division I institution. Senior Andrew Hutchinson ran the seeded 800m University/College which composed of a field of seven Division I runners with Hutchinson being one of two Division III runners in the field. Hutchinson finished fourth with a time of 1:50.46.

In the University/College Division Men's Shot Put competition, Jacob Edwards came away with a sixth place finish with a throw of 16.93 meters. Joining Edwards in sixth place finishes was Jaidyn Williams in University/College Men's Division Triple Jump as Williams leaped a 14.51 meters on his second jump of the competition. The final top ten finish was Chloe Reiser in the University/College Division Women's Shot Put. Resier launched a new personal best of 14.42 meters for a seventh place finish. This mark moves Reiser up to third nationally in Division III and third in UD history.
