DUBUQUE, Iowa - The University of Dubuque men's and women's track & field teams competed at the Loras College Midweek on Tuesday. Fifteen Spartans took home first-place honors in 12 events. 

On the women's side, Jaide Flowers and Nina Tomko took first place in the 100-meter events. Flowers ran a 12.45 to beat out her competition from Upper Iowa and Loras. Tomko ran away with the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.66. 

Closing out the track events were Kahlan Kearns and Dede Davis, both claiming first. Kearns did it in the 400-meter hurdles by running a personal best time of 1:05.27. Davis took the 1500-meter title with a 4:45.60. 

Ashdyn Padelford set a personal best in the discus throw and nearly beat second place by a full meter with a throw of 42.29 meters. Ashley Glennon claimed her second consecutive medal in the javelin throw with a mark of 40.70 meters. 

In the height-related events, Jaden Hardison and Cailey Peterson won their respective events. Hardison in the high jump had a mark of 1.71 meters, and Peterson in the Pole Vault with 3.72 meters. 

On the men's side, Jaxon Sander and the Spartans 4x400 Relay team earned the top spots in the track events. Sander won the 400-meter hurdles in a tight contest with a time of 57.80. The Spartans 4x400 Relay team (Tyler Montag, Zach Baumberger, Jackson Smith, Christian Scullark) won with a time of 3:37.01.

Rounding out the winners for the Spartans are Lucas Cummings and Christian Jaimes, both of whom won their respective events for a second consecutive week. Cummings in the hammer throw had a heave of 55.37 meters, Jaimes in the high jump had a leap of 1.95 meters.
