PLATTEVILLE, Wis. - The University of Dubuque women's track and field team continued their outdoor season at the second day of the UW-Platteville Invitational. The Spartans competed against some of the top teams in the country on Saturday put up a very promising showing in a deep field of competition.
Leading the Spartans was
Chloe Reiser who was the highest finisher on the day with her third place in the shot put. Reiser put up a best throw of 13.39m. The sophomore currently sits second in the A-R-C and 13th in the country after her performance. In the javelin throw
Ashley Glennon finished sixth in the event with a throw of 36.16m. Finishing in seventh for the Spartans was
Taryn Richey who posted a personal best in the event with a throw of 36.10m. Glennon and Richey both sit in the top five at fourth and fifth in the A-R-C. The highest finish on the track came from sophomore
Jaide Flowers who put up a seventh place finish in the 400 Meter Dash with a time of 59.01. That time from Flowers currently has her sitting second in the A-R-C after Saturday.Â
