PLATTEVILLE, Wis. - The University of Dubuque women's track & field team opened up with two events to the begin the UW Platteville Invitational on Friday evening. the Hammer Throw and the 5,000 Meter Run. There were four flights of the hammer throw and five sections of the 5K with Seven Spartans competing on the evening.
The throws squad was represented by sophomore
Chloe Reiser who was the highest finishing Spartan on the day with a 10th place finish with a mark of 46.21m. Right behind her finishing in 11th was
Sydney Lueck who finished with a mark of 44.24m.
Ashley Glennon finished 35th on the night with a throw of 35.57m.
Aubrey Sorrell finished in 41st, with her teammates,
Ashley Janeczko and
Jocelyn Mittelstadt finishing right behind her finished 42nd and 43rd. Sorrell's best throw on the night was 31.54m, Janeczko with a 31.10m and Mittelstadt with a 30.85m.
In the 5,000 Meter Run the distance crew was represented by sophomore
Alli Gonnella as she ran in the first section of event. Gonnella posted a time of 19:23.98 to finish 119th overall out of 134 runners.
