Women's Track & Field Compete at Keck DIII Select and Tadd Metzger Invitational

BLOOINGTON, Ill. – The University of Dubuque women's track and field split to two separate locations Saturday as running events traveled to Illinois Wesleyan University for the Keck DIII Select, while field events traveled to Carthage College for the Tadd Metzger Invitational. The Spartans finished the day with one champion from the two meets. Autumn McLaughlin won her first pole vault competition from Carthage College with a personal best leap of 3.15 meters.
 
At the Keck DIII Select, senior Gianna Borzileri was the highest finisher for the Spartans, placing eighth in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:01.26. Borzileri also placed 14th out of 70 runners in the 200 meter dash with a time of 26.63. Nina Tomko finished 19th in the 60m hurdles with a time of 10.41. Dede Davis rounded out the top finishers for the Spartans with a time of 5:32.76 in the one-mile run.
 
At the Tadd Metzger invitational the Spartans finished fifth in the team standings with mostly field events competing with 52 team points. Autumn McLaughlin won her first pole vault competition as a Spartan, a personal best leap of 3.15 meters. Victoria Zoltowska placed third in the 55 meter hurdles with a time of 9.24. Faith Hayes finished runner-up in the triple jump with a leap of 10.49 meters. Nai'lah Anders finished third in the shot put with a mark of 12.99 meters.
