PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The University of Dubuque men's track and field team competed at the UW-Platteville Invitational on Saturday. The Spartans left with 10 champions on the day, led by three event wins from senior
Otis Patterson.
Patterson finished first in the 200 meter dash (22.27), high jump (2.00m) and long jump (6.80m) for the trifecta.
Jacob Edwards won both the weight throw (17.36m) and shot put (16.53m).
Jaidyn Williams won the triple jump for the third time this season (14.02m).
Ethan Stoker picked up his fourth win in the pole vault (4.47m), while
Blake Hardison won the 60 meter hurdles for the fourth time as well. Hardison ran 8.13 in the finals.
Andrew Hutchinson won the 800 meter run (1:53.96). The Spartans ran their first 4x200 meter relay of the season with the quartet of
Nolan Lentz,
Kali Freeman,
Jaberrius Peake, and
Blake Hardison. Those four would finish with a time of 1:28.73 to set a new school record as well as the UW-Platteville indoor facility record in the event.
