Grady Thompson was named A-R-C Men's Basketball Athlete of the Week after averaging 26 ppg and 8 rpg that lead to victories over Cornell College (108-63) and Augustana College (88-82). The Spartans remain undefeated at 4-0 on the young season.
In just 20 minutes against Cornell College, Thompson was one point shy of tying a career-high with 28 points on 11-18 (61%) shooting from the floor. He also grabbed nine rebounds with six coming on the offensive glass. Thompson played nearly the entire game against Augie (39 minutes) and finished the game with 24 points, seven rebounds, and four assists. He also made four three-pointers and was 8-10 at the free throw line.
The junior guard is now averaging a career-high 20.5 ppg and 8.3 rpg in four starts so far in the 2025-26 season. This is Thompson's first A-R-C Athlete of the Week honor of his career.Â
