LONG GROVE, Iowa - The University of Dubuque women's golf team extended their lead after two days of the 2025 American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) by 34 strokes (310-306-616) over second place Coe College (325-325-650). The Spartans trio of
Drew Hoffer (74-76-150), leads teammate
Leah Balsbaugh (75-77-152) by two strokes and
Payton Morton (79-75-154) by four strokes for A-R-C medalist honors for head coach
Dustin Bierman.
Bierman has directed his team to championships in 2019, 2020, 2021, 2023, and 2024 and runner-up finishes in 2018, 2022. The Spartans have never finished lower than second since 2018. He has been named Coach of the Year in the A-R-C five times and coached four A-R-C Medalists since taking over the program in 2016.
UD will begin the final round on Monday at Glynns Creek Golf Course in Long Grove, Iowa, the site of the 2025 A-R-C Women's Golf Championships hosted by Luther College. The par 72 course played on average 85.69 on Saturday and 85.20 on Sunday with the final round of the three day 54 hole championships beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Monday.
