MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The 20th annual
D3football.com All-Region Teams have been announced. The University of Dubuque claimed a pair of All-Region 5 Second Team Selections in 2024.
Za'Cameron Brice was a Second Team All-5 Region as a wide receiver and joining him on the second team was
Jamari Jenkins who earned a Second Team All-Region 5 selection for tight ends.
Za'Cameron Brice (Sr., Arlington, Texas / Lamar) earned his first career A-R-C All-Conference First Team Offense selection after an outstanding season, surpassing 1,000 receiving yards in a single season for the first time in his career after collecting 1,078 yards on 87 catches and 14 touchdowns. Brice had the triple crown for receivers in the A-R-C, leading the conference in receptions (87), yards (1.078), and touchdowns (14). His longest catch was 56 yards and averaged 107.8 yards per game.
Jamari Jenkins(Sr., Evanston, Ill. / Evanston Township) also was named to the A-R-C All-Conference First Team Offense after finishing seventh in the conference in receiving, but was the top tight end in the league with 63 catches for 618 yards and the second most touchdowns in the league with 11. Jenkins earns back-to-back first team selections as a tight end.
Players were nominated for these awards by the Sports Information Directors at the various schools, and schools and conferences were contacted multiple times as the season wound down to remind them to make their players eligible. In total, 1,210 players were nominated, which is a new all-time high. All-Region teams are selected in balloting by sports information directors in each region and
D3football.com staff. All players nominated for All-Region are eligible to be considered for the
D3football.com All-America Team.
NCAA Division III realigned Division III football into six regions in 2021. The University of Dubuque is in Region 5 which includes the American Rivers Conference, the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin, the Midwest Conference and the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference. The teams, selected in balloting by Region 5 sports information directors and D3football.com staff, were chosen from 178 nominations by full Division III member schools. A total of 79 players were chosen. Players nominated for All-Region are eligible to be considered for D3football.com All-America honors, which will be announced Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025.
