WEST DUNDEE, Ill. - The University of Dubuque men's golf team placed second at the Judson University Invite on Monday. The Spartans finished just two strokes back of the winners with a team score of 309.

Brad Buechel both placed seventh overall were five over Par 71.
Alex Staver shot a 39-37-76 and
Brad Buechel had a 38-38-76. Other scores included:
Matt McQuillen 40-38-78,
Colin Schmit 43-36-79,
Drake Polley 39-40-79, and individual
Pauly Bloomquist 41-38-79.
"Had a chance to get a good solid win today on a great golf course and to lose by two strokes hurts," commented head coach
Dustin Bierman. "We got off to a rocky start with some big numbers and did a good job of bring it around at the end. Moving forward if this team figures out a way to keep big numbers off the card we can play with anyone."
The Spartans travel to Springfield, Ill. to play in the Illinois College Blue Boy Invite at The Rail Golf Course on April 14-15.
