JANESVILLE, Wis. - The University of Dubuque's men's top golfers travel to Glen Erin Golf Course for the Culver's Edgewood College Fall Classic on Friday & Saturday. In the two-day tournament, the Spartans would score a first round total of 305 (+21) to sit in 3rd place out of 21 teams. Unfortunately due to rain, the second day of the tournament was canceled and the scores from day one resulted in a final. 

Freshman golfer, Colin Schmit shot a 74 (+3) on Friday to finish T-7th in his first collegiate round. Matt McQuillen finished a stroke behind Schmit shooting a 75 (+4) finishing T-12th. Alex Staver (77), Brad Buechel (79), and Cade Bastian (80) rounded out the top five for the Spartans. 

The Spartans finished four strokes behind the tournament winner, Carthage College (+17) and two strokes behind UW-Stout (+19).
