DUBUQUE, Iowa - The University of Dubuque men's track & field team finished the American Rivers Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday in front of a capacity crowd in Chlapaty Recreation and Wellness Center on the A.Y. McDonald Indoor Track. Stellar performances throughout the day broke numerous facility records en route to UD's third place finish.

In the 60 meter dash, two Spartans earned all-conference honors as Jeremiah Steed finished 2nd in a time of :06.95 and Nolan Lentz right behind him in 3rd running :06.98. Steed also earned all-conference honors in the 200 meter dash by running :22.29 to finish third and leaping 14.26 meters in the triple jump to earn 1st place and capture the title for the Spartans.

Rei'Shaun Spires also earned all-conference in the triple jump placing 3rd with a jump of 13.36 meters. JoJo Frost sprinted to a runner-up finish in the 400 meter dash at :49.25 seconds. Cade Collier capped off his stellar weekend adding on to his second place finish in the shot put yesterday to capture the conference title in the weight throw with a throw of 17.31 meters. Tyler Cernohous was the lone distance runner to earn all-conference honors as he placed third in the 3000 meters with a time of 8:27.89. UD's 4x400 team trailed the winning 4x400 by just .54 and placed third in 3:21.98.

The men's track and field team will head to Waverly, Iowa for the Wartburg College NCAA Qualifier meet taking place next weekend. This will be the last chance for the Spartans to qualify for the NCAA Indoor Championships.
