ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - The University of Dubuque women's golf team would finish in fpurth and fifth place at the 2021 Augustana College Vikings Invitational on Sunday afternoon. The "B" team was fourth after completing rounds of 355-334 (689) and "A" team was fifth after rounds of 364-341 (705). The Spartans played without their seniors who were attending graduation on Saturday.

Mary Edwards led scoring for the Spartans with rounds of 85-83 (168) to place eighth overall. Sarah Fergus also of the "B" team would place 10th after firing rounds of 86-83 (169). Madison Bowers led the scoring for the "A" team after she finished the weekend with rounds of 86-86 (172) to place 12th overall out of the 108 competitors.

Next up for the Spartans will be the 2021 NCAA Division III Women's Golf National Championships being hosted at Forest Akers Golf Course in Lansing, Mich. The Spartans earned the automatic berth by winning the American Rivers Conference Championships last fall.The tournament begins on May 11 and will finish on May 14.
