CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) announced their baseball postseason awards on Tuesday afternoon. Will Sullivan received First Team honors, while three other Spartans were named Honorable Mention by the league's coaches.
Sullivan received first-team honors as an outfielder after an outstanding sophomore campaign. Sullivan finished with a .352 batting average with an on-base percentage of .455 and a slugging percentage of .608, all marks which placed him in the top 11 of the conference. His 13 doubles, five home runs, and 36 runs batted in also placed in the top 15 across the conference. Sullivan shined in conference play, slugging .678 and reaching base at a .482 clip, both top five marks in the A-R-C. His 1.160 OPS across 24 conference games ranked fourth in the conference. The sophomore will lead the Spartans into battle in 2027 as a key contributor at the plate and on the mound.
Alex Esser, Zavion Ingram, and Angel Reyes were also named Honorable Mention players by the league's coaches for their contributions. Esser, a catcher, hit .282 and reached base at a .444 clip during his senior year while driving in 27 runs and walking 20 times. Esser was also hit 15 times by pitches, which placed him fifth in the conference across all games. In addition, Esser led the conference in runners caught stealing, throwing out 11 runners across 24 conference games.
Ingram received honors as a designated hitter after hitting .360 and crushing four triples in conference play, placing him fourth in the conference. Ingram finished his senior season driving in 23 runs and slugging .495 while stealing 11 bases, a mark which placed him tenth in the A-R-C. Reyes received honors as a pitcher, appearing in 13 games while starting nine for a 4.72 ERA across 55.1 innings. In conference play, Reyes threw 37.1 innings at a 4.58 ERA while striking out 33 and allowing 19 earned runs.
With the announcement of conference postseason honors, the Spartans will now await the announcement of regional and academic awards, set to release in the coming weeks.
