ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The University of Dubuque women's golf team finished the final 18 holes of the WashU Invite on Monday. The Spartans finished the two-day tournament with a 12th place finish and
Leah Balsbaugh leading the Spartans individually with a 18th place finish after shooting a 157 (+13) across 36 holes.
The Spartans shot a 342 (+54) today and finished with a two-day total of 675 (+99). Balsbaugh shot +13 over par across two days to finish in a tie for 18th place, leading the Spartans individually.
Olivia Hines was an individual golfer for the Spartans, shooting a two-day total of +18 par, but her score did not count towards the team score due to her being labeled as the individual.
Kaycee Newman shot +14 over today for a two-day total of +25 over, finishing 48th, while
Payton Morton finished 65th (+31) and
Drew Hoffer (+36), along with
Megan Stephan (+38) were 73rd and 74th respectively.
As a team today, the Spartans collected five birdies and 44 pars.
The Spartans' next tournament will be on Sunday, April 12 and Monday, April 13 at the Loras College Spring Invite at The Meadows Golf Club.
