DUBUQUE, Iowa - The University of Dubuque men's lacrosse team celebrated senior day against Milwaukee School of Engineering Saturday afternoon. Nine seniors were celebrated for their achievements in their time at the University. The Spartans scored seven goals but fell 13-7 at the final whistle.
With only 1:30 off the clock, the Spartans opened the game with Tyler Johnson's pass to Carter Nelson for the score to give UD an early lead. The Raiders responded to the early deficit and made it 7-1 halfway through the second quarter. John Davis scored on a great effort for the Spartans' second goal of the game. Nolan Dimitri scored at the buzzer to end the half as the Spartans went into the break down 9-3.
In the second half, the Spartans were able to score four goals. Campbell Smith started the scoring with an unassisted effort for UD's fourth goal. Near the end of the game, Chris Wilson went on a tear, scoring twice in two minutes, both on his own. Peter Schiess got on the scoresheet in the final 20 seconds of the game, with Davis credited with the assist. After 60 minutes, the Spartans fell 13-7 to the Raiders.
Logan Ehle led the Spartans with four ground balls; John Lewis, Eric Brostek and Gavin Flattery each all had three ground balls. Lewis was the faceoff specialist for nearly every faceoff, winning 11 of them.

The Spartans will hit the road, crossing the Mississippi to face Aurora University in Illinois. The game is scheduled for Wednesday, April 1, at 4:00 p.m. in Aurora, Ill at Vago Field.
